About
Joshua Hovey is a RIBA chartered architect and certified Passivhaus designer, offering high-quality residential design for domestic and developer clients. Specializing in bespoke new-build homes, contemporary extensions, period property alterations, and barn conversions, Joshua has a strong track record in securing planning permission, even in challenging settings such as conservation areas and AONBs.
Our practice emphasizes a collaborative design process tailored to each site and its surroundings. We use 3D design tools to create realistic visuals, ensuring clients can easily envision the final outcome. Joshua personally manages a limited number of projects at a time, maintaining high design standards and clear communication.
We collaborate with trusted consultants, including surveyors and structural engineers, to meet each project's specific needs. Our goal is to simplify the process with transparent quotations and fixed fees where possible.
Joshua studied architecture at the University of Nottingham, becoming a registered architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and achieving RIBA chartered status. His diverse experience includes bespoke housing, leisure developments, and retail spaces, with notable projects in Bath, the Cotswolds, and beyond.
Since founding his practice in 2020, Joshua has focused on unique residential projects across the Cotswolds. Known for his creativity and professionalism, he has built a reputation for excellent client communication and receives many referrals.
Outside work, Joshua enjoys cycling, playing tennis, and DIY. He lives and works from a restored Grade II Listed townhouse in Fairford, Gloucestershire.
